Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Student of Distinction: Cashe Arrielle
Although Commencement has passed, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ continues to celebrate graduating students who have overcome obstacles, made significant achievements or are fulfilling Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s mission in or outside the classroom.
Today, we celebrate Cashe Arrielle, who is earning a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership with a minor in HR Management.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ: Have you had any significant internships/co-ops/careers while at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ?
CA: Yes, I had the privilege to be a part of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Levin College's Mentoring Program for Nonprofit Management and Public Affairs, Class of 2025.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ: How would you describe the connections you have made with the faculty and staff at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ?
CA: I would describe my connections as impactful and purposeful. When it comes to most of my professors between 2024 and the present, I feel their support and understanding, especially being a student associated with disability services (heart surgery patient). The compassion from the staff is also phenomenal! I would love to give special recognition to Care Manager Williams, who makes Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ feel like a home away from home, and my amazing academic counselor, Dr. Myers, who works diligently to set up my course schedules for success. Go Vikings!
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ: How has Cleveland State inspired you for your future?
CA: As a teen mom straight out of high school, attending a university once felt out of reach for me. Being at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has shown me that my story didn't end there; it was just beginning. It has inspired me to think bigger, step confidently into leadership, and build a future rooted in purpose for myself, my children, and my community. Now, I feel equipped and motivated to turn my experiences into impact.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ: How do you think you have fulfilled the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s mission?
CA: I believe I have fulfilled Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ's mission by truly showing up as someone who is both in and for the city of Cleveland. Through my work in communications, public relations and community initiatives, I have used what I have learned to support local businesses, creatives and organizations while creating real impact.
I do not just take in knowledge; I apply it through leadership, service and building meaningful connections that benefit others. I have intentionally and continuously turned my education into action that reflects growth, purpose and opportunity for the community and individuals around me.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ: Do you have a career lined up, and how has Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ been instrumental in that process?
CA: I plan to continue growing in organizational leadership and HR management through both corporate roles and independent contract opportunities. Currently, I work in corporate as a talent acquisition coordinator, supporting hiring processes, candidate experience and overall workforce development. At the same time, I am building my agency, Purposely Public Agency, which allows me to apply leadership, communication and strategic planning hands-on while working with brands, creatives and organizations.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has been instrumental in this journey, helping me connect theory to real-world experience. My studies in organizational leadership have strengthened my ability to lead, communicate effectively and understand team dynamics, which I use daily in both my corporate role and as a business owner. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has truly positioned me to build a career that blends leadership, HR and entrepreneurship.
